Keeping your pool inviting and sparking clean is a time consuming and sometimes complicated task.
The secret to a beautiful inviting pool is regular routine care. Regular maintenance is needed not only to keep your pool clean and inviting but also to prevent damage to your equipment.
Some of the general areas included in the maintenance contract are:
Once per week basic pool service
- Testing of water balance (ph, chlorine and alkalinity) – Water balance is one of the most important steps of swimming pool maintenance, but is also the most confusing.
- Removal and replacement of pool net (if one installed)
- Vacuum pool surface (we use our own equipment)
- Brush walls, steps and tiles
- Scoop up leaves and debris
- Backwash & rinse (must be done weekly) It is the customer’s responsibility to top up the water level
- Clean out pump and weir
- We supply all chemicals (salt, chlorine, acid and alkaline) and additional floater per month, needs to be added extra to swimming pool in the summer month’s however not for salt, mineral spring pools or splash pools.
- Cold climate maintenance is also needed to maintain your pool during the winter months, especially if the temperature drops below freezing
- Checking pool system and that, once cleaned, circulation is trouble free
- Checking salt chlorination and clean cells (if installed)
- Report to client in respect of equipment problems/failure
- Notify client of automatic pool cleaner parts that need replacement or other problems which may be found.
Because this process is so complicated most pool owners can’t get everything right in order to keep their pool safe, comfortable to swim in and to enjoy a corrosion free pool. Did you know that the correct water balance is important to keep your pool:
Save: If the ph balance, chlorine and alkalinity is not correct, your chlorine or salt based cleaner will not be able to kill all the germs and bacteria
Comfortable: a swim is not enjoyable with burning eyes
Corrosion free: the incorrect pH balance is corrosive to not only the liner of your pool but also to the handrail and pump
